MAHĀBINDU
KĀLIKA
Mahābindu Kālikā reflects upon the primordial origin of existence — the sacred moment when absolute stillness awakens into cosmic movement.
At the center rests the Mahābindu, the eternal point from which all creation emerges. In ancient spiritual philosophy, the bindu represents the unmanifest source — the infinite potential that exists before time, sound, and form. The raised white bloom embodies this silent state of pure possibility. Its soft, unfolding texture suggests that creation does not burst forth abruptly; it blossoms gently from within.
Encircling the bindu is a vibrant red field symbolizing Shakti, the universal life-force. Red signifies vitality, energy, and the first pulse of manifestation — the subtle shift from stillness to vibration. This transition marks the awakening of creative consciousness.
Radiating outward, textured strokes expand in organic rhythms, evoking waves of sound, light, and matter emanating from the central source. These movements echo the concept of divine vibration — the subtle cosmic resonance through which the universe unfolds.
The outer circular formations suggest cycles of time and existence — creation, sustenance, and transformation. They evoke the infinite spiral of life governed by the Divine Mother, who transcends time while simultaneously giving it form.
Unlike conventional depictions of Kālikā as fierce and destructive, this work presents her primordial aspect — expansive, protective, and infinitely nurturing. She is portrayed as the silent cosmic womb from which all realities arise.
Mahābindu Kālikā becomes a meditation on origin and expansion — a visual expression of the universe emerging from a single, luminous point of divine consciousness.
